The Good

Businesses are going to dramatically change how they secure the data they protect once their accounting departments are told to include data in their annual financial reports. Following China's decision to classify data as an intangible asset on balance sheets, the global landscape faces an important decision. If data will contribute to GDP calculations, every nation must determine its approach if it wants to keep up.

The Bad

The Ugly

A recent article from The Wall Street Journal discusses how AI companies are literally running out of data to train their AI models. It’s estimated that all available data will have been consumed within the next 2 years. Many AI companies are looking at synthetic data as a solution. Synthetic data, is data that is manufactured by the AI itself.

Something to think about

The purpose of data-driven decision-making is to help businesses make more intelligent decisions to improve their offerings to their customers. AI is a tool that helps companies turn unstructured data into usable information.

Do you think synthetic data will be a viable solution for businesses looking to improve their customer experience?
