The goal is to track, store, and utilize data that current security systems miss, such as the duration travelers spend at various airport locations. Yes, this includes monitoring how long you spend in the bathroom while waiting for your flight.

The Ugly
In a troubling revelation, Kaiser Permanente reported the year's largest data breach, leaking 13.4 million records. Alarmingly, even former customers like me, who haven't been with the insurer for over three years, were notified of compromised data. This incident underscores the urgent need for regulations on the retention and deletion of non-customer personal data.
Something to think about
Some states are thinking ahead on how to protect future data mines for individuals. Colorado recently enacted the first privacy law to protect consumers' brainwave data, which extends the definition of biological data to include historic recordings of brainwave activity.
